Description: Black lacquered tray decorated with a single dragonfly in gold. The dragonfly under drawing (shita-e) was designed by Takeuchi Seiho (1864-1942). Shita-e is a detailed preliminary drawing prepared before undertaking the actual painting. With original box and cloth. Signed Seihō shitae-e kinpū bon on the surface of the lid, inside of the lid signed Heian maki-e shi Yūkichi tsukuru. Kamisaka Yukichi is a maki-e craftsman who lived in Kyoto. He often collaborated on projects with his older brother,Kamisaka Sekka (1866
