Description: Bronze 'morning glory flower' vase. The shape of the vase resembles a morning glory flower, with its baluster shape and flaring rim which is divided into three parts resembling petals. Sugai Shōzō's specialization is the lost-wax method (rogata). Shōzō was a regular exhibitor at the Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition (Nihon Dento ko geiten) and has received many awards.
