Reference:Pupil of Kano Eigaku (1790-1867) and Kishi Renzan (1805-1859). Painted in 1854 for the Imperial palace. Particularly specialized in painting tigers.In his life Chikudo, Mori Kansai (1814-1894) and Kono Bairei (1844-1895) were regarded as the three great painters of Kyoto.
