Imao Keinen (1845-1924)

Very good general condition.
Original double box on the front signed “Plover and high waves” (Gekiro chidori). Guaranteed on the inside by his pupil Keiyu.

Worked in Kyoto, studied with Umegawa Tokyo (1828‑1869) and Suzuki Hyakunen (1825‑1891). In 1907 juror for the first Bunten. A frequent exhibitor and prize‑winner at shows in Japan and Paris.
