*Born in Toyohashi in Aichi Prefecture. In 1917 began his training under Matsubayashi Keigetsu 松林桂月(1876-1963). Throughout his career he has continuously exhibited his work at the Teiten, Shin Bunten and Nitten. In 1949 for the fifth time he won the special prize at the Nitten. He made many commissioned works.
