With original signed box, inscription reads: lotus (hasu) natsume.
*Born in Osaka in 1965. In 1985 he started his study at the Ishikawa Prefecture Wajima lacquer crafts training institute. Two years later he started his study under lacquer artisan Tanaka Takashi (b.1951). In 1990 he started working independently. He has won several prizes for his work: amongst which in 1998 at the Nara Prefectural Exhibition. He has exhibited his work both in Japan as well as abroad. From 2003 onwards, he biennially has solo exhibitions of his work at department stores across the whole country.
