*Shida Kinshō was born Mitane in Akita Prefecture. He graduated from the Tokyo School of Fine Arts in 1944 from the Japanese painting department and studied under Yamamoto Kyūjin. He exhibited his works many time at the prestigious government sponspored Bunten and Teiten exhibitions.
