With double box. Inscription on lid of the box reads ‘white heron’ (shirasagi). Inner lid reads ‘brushwork by Shunsō’ (Shunsō hitsu) and is also signed ‘Taikan’ by friend and fellow artist Yokoyama Taikan (1868-1958). Comes with a certificate of authenticity by the artist’s eldest son Hishida Haruo(1902-1987), who also functions as an expert and judge of his father’s work, his authorisation signed (plus artist seal) and dated February 1975.
